Applying Basic Algebra Proofs
IF WHEN (A): Your baby's first kicks will feel like little flutters or flicks on your abdomen.
IF WHEN (B): Your wife can only fall asleep when spooning you to support her growing belly which is pressed into your back where you feel a distinctive twitch as she is falling asleep.
THEN (C): You have just felt your baby move for the first time.
Of course I had to have this all broken down for me by my Cousin Christy who challenged my original theory that Cheri was just having muscle spasms in her belly. She asked me matter of factually, "have you ever know Cheri to have targeted muscle spasms on the left side of her abdomen as she is falling asleep?" To which I could only screw up my face as I pondered and then surprisingly reply, " No, I haven't."
So it seems we both got to feel Baby B move in the 16th week and are celebrating by spending the afternoon reading parenting books and birth stories by the fire.
