Emergency Rescue

Firefighter Alton can buzz around the house at lightning speed, barely grazing the walls and dinging his bell. He took a break from riding his bike last night to practice standing on his bedroom foot stool. Not just any foot stool, a gliding foot stool. Not just a gliding foot stool, an upholstered gliding foot stool. Not just standing on an upholstered gliding foot stool, but climbing up un-assisted and balancing on the upholstered gliding foot stool wearing cowboy boots and jumping to his Mama laughing. No pictures are available for this 45-minute evening activity because Cheri and I were on the edge of our seats catching him as he pitched to the floor every which direction learning this new skill. We don't know where he comes up with this stuff except that we still suspect the Extreme Bull Riding exposure at 13-months-old has something to do with it! Come to think of it, he was moving towards staying up nearly 8-seconds-uggg!
