Chelan Skate Park

Alton is getting more confident with a one hand assist on the ramps. We were excited when he did a bit of solo turning and stopping when he was trying to explain to me once again "how it works;" so I would join him and take my turn. I am still too chicken!

Last month, we learned it is called a "hippie jump" when you hop up and down on the board as you are riding along. It is a bit of a silly looking trick until you add a grind rail coming at your ankles and then it becomes amazingly useful! He had been practicing on the rail you see in the background so he was getting some great height on his jumps.

Sticking another perfect landing! Way to go little dude. 10-minutes later he decided to tip the nose of the board up as he approached the rail and pull himself towards me to 'grind' down the rail and skate off the end!
