December Wind Storm

We lost power for 6-days following the regional wind storm that took down trees and power lines throughout the city. At one point, over a million customers were reported to be without power; just as the night time temperatures began dropping into the 20s. We spent one evening camped in the living room beside the fireplace. The evergreen tree in the room with us really gave it that camping feel! Our hot water tank is gas powered so we continued to have showers available but it was too cold to keep a baby bundled day and night so we headed to Grandma B's for a holiday adventure. Concerningly, by the time we arrived, his hat had managed to rub the hair off the sides of his head to match his bald spot in the back-sort of a reverse male-pattern-baldness look.

Bundled for play time in the living room.

Sleeping on the couch by the fire to stay warm.

Adventures with Christmas Cake at Grandma's house. Yes, he did get his hand in the frosting and spread it far and wide within 12-seconds before Cheri could begin to contain his flailing hand.
