Some people still suggest he wouldn't need/ request /demand... that middle of the night feeding if he ate more solids during the day. I really don't think it would be possible! The little guy has tripled in size from 7lb to 23lb and grown an inch a month in his first year. He now stands 31 1/2 inches tall and remains in the 95th percentile for height. He sleeps 12hr nights (interrupted) between 7:30pm to 7:30 am and takes two 2-hr naps each day. During his eight waking hours he is non-stop motion: climbing, walking, swimming, dancing, building, exploring. He is an amazing growing machine with astounding strength!
His vocabulary is also expanding greatly. His favorite trick is to add a, "Hi" to his charming smile when he sees anyone new. If they could resist the smile the "Hi" is just too much and nearly everyone responds in kind with a surprised, "Hi." He also says: cow, moo, kitty, meow, woof, whoo whoo, quack, duck, cock-a-doo-doo, roar, more, up, ouch, eye, uht ohh, mamma, caca (Jessica), boo, go, yech, num num, cheese. This along with a few dozen signs makes him pretty fun to talk to and keeps the nanny and his moms on our toes.
